Rural Digital Learners

What is Digital Inclusion?

Digital Inclusion helps local people, communities, and organisations gain the skills and confidence to get online, use digital tools, and stay safe.

CDA Herts runs friendly, practical Digital Learner Drop-in Sessions in village halls across Hertfordshire. The project is funded by Clarion Futures and the Herts and West Essex ICB, and supported by trained local Digital Champions and Digi-Buddies.

Residents in villages including Little Hadham, Datchworth, Benington, Tewin, Ickleford, and Aston have benefited from free, community-based sessions covering everyday online tasks.

What we do

Supporting residents through:

  • πŸ’³Online shopping & bills – safe payments, account set-up, and managing subscriptions.
  • πŸ’ŠPrescriptions & NHS App – ordering prescriptions and booking appointments.
  • πŸ“§Email & communication – email set-up, video calls, and staying in touch.
  • πŸ–ΌοΈPhotos & media – organising and sharing safely.
  • πŸ”Staying safe online – avoiding scams, protecting personal information, and spotting phishing.

β€œAs a person of senior age living on my own and with no family nearby, I find the weekly IT support sessions invaluable in helping me keep afloat in an ever-changing digital world.”

πŸ—“οΈ When
