Our 2025 Campaign
🏡 Why rural Hertfordshire needs its own campaign
National campaigns are built for towns and cities — a bus route to a refuge, a neighbour close enough to hear. In a village, the nearest house can be a field away.
- 👀 Lack of anonymity — everyone knowing your name can make it harder to ask for help
- 🏥 Limited specialist services — refuge spaces and specialist workers are miles away
- 💷 Financial dependency — shared farms and accounts can leave nowhere else to go
- 🐢 Slower response times — rural policing and services can mean a longer wait
- 🗣️ Traditional norms — “that’s just how it is round here” can silence a conversation
🌱 Every Village Has a Voice
That’s the message we close the campaign on each year.
However remote the house, however small the parish — no one in Hertfordshire has to face abuse alone. Help exists, and it’s closer than it feels.
