Defra confirms ACRE Network funding
Defra (the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) has confirmed that it will maintain its investment of £2.3m in the ACRE Network for 2015/16.
ACRE chief executive Janice Banks said: “This is good news for ACRE and its nationwide Network of rural community councils. We would like to thank everyone who showed their support for rural communities and the work we do.”
CDA are delighted, we will be able to continue our work with rural communities and would like to thank all of those in Hertfordshire who signed the petition.
Herts Healthy Homes service offers free help to keep well and safe at home throughout the year.
This includes a free home visit to give advice and practical help on accident prevention, paying bills and budgeting, draught proofing/emergency heaters, fire safety and home security checks. You can phone 0300 123 4044 and quote ‘HOME 1’ for more information.
