Tampon Tax Community Fund
‘Empowering refugee and other migrant women’
CDA Herts is delighted to announce that it was successful with its application to the Tampon Tax Community Fund.
We will be working in partnership with Herts Welcomes Syrian Families and the grant will provide additional language support to women, especially those with young children who are more housebound and need to have the opportunity to learn and practice speaking English in an informal setting. The support group meetings will be held in Ware and Letchworth.
There will be a short holiday programme of activities for the young people who will decide and design the programme. We would like to hear about other migrant women who feel that they need to improve their English and be with like-minded women.
We are very excited about empowering women, developing their confidence to integrate and have better settled lives.
